ParentVUE/StudentVUE Use Agreement

ParentVUE and StudentVUE are secure, online applications that provide parents, guardians, and students with access to educational records within Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS). These applications are freely available to all current students and their parents and guardians who follow the terms and conditions in this Agreement.

  • Access to the ParentVUE and StudentVUE applications is a privilege, not a right. Users must act in a responsible, ethical, and legal manner while using these applications.
  • Parents/guardians will have access to a student's education record only while the student is actively enrolled in HCPS. Once a student graduates or withdraws, ParentVUE access will be inactivated.
  • All parents/guardians with legal rights to the educational record can receive instructions on how to activate a ParentVUE account.
  • Non-custodial parents/guardians will be able to activate a ParentVUE account but will have limited access to some information in the student records.
  • Custodial parents/guardians will be asked to review their student's personal information and emergency contacts at least annually.
  • Passwords associated with these applications must always remain confidential and not be shared with anyone.
  • Users should not attempt to access accounts that are not their own or try to alter or destroy data.

HCPS will take reasonable measures to protect student information from unauthorized viewing. However, HCPS is not responsible for claims arising through unauthorized use of ParentVUE, StudentVUE, or HCPS computer systems. HCPS will not be responsible for actions taken by the parent or guardian that compromises student information. HCPS reserves the right to limit or terminate access to ParentVUE or StudentVUE at any time without notice. All ParentVUE and StudentVUE account activity is electronically recorded.
